Hey Guys
I had my court date on the 9th of January and received a 24 month Ban and £100 fine the ban can be reduced to 18 months which means I will be driving again in July 2013. It seems along way away but the time really is flying by.
I am working in a school at the moment as a Teaching Assistant and the school had no issues when I told them I lost my licence due to DUI. I am now applying for a PGCE ( a qualification to become a fully qualified teacher). I am fully aware my DUI may prevent me from getting on this course but I am a persistent person and won't give up on my dream. To anyone out there with a DUI or currently in the process of going through the courts use this moment in your life to chase your dreams and make things happen for yourself...
And never feel sorry for yourself as the courts will hand your ass to you its up to you to remain strong and fight throughout the ban.
