Hello, I’ve recently had a medical test to check my CDT levels, after failing to provide specimen,
I have received a letter from the dvla saying they have my results but have contacted my doctor for further information, and once they receive their reply they will consider my fitness to drive?
Can any one please help me understand what this may meen ?
Thankyou

Hi Scorpio.

So this essentially part of the medical, they will write to your GP to review your medical history/records for any signs of alcohol abuse/dependency over the last 6 years.

This is the sticky part of the medical as essentially they are looking for previous alcohol issues to avoid someone being "t total" for the medical to pass the CDT score and secretly being an avid alcoholic/abuser of alcohol and again being a danger on the roads.

Will there be anything on your records?
