What does a Solicitor cost?

Hello,

Like many of you, I am in a situation I wish I wasn't! I have recently been quoted a fee of GBP 750.00 for representation by a solicitor for a drink driving offense.

I am wondering how this stacks up against other solicitors? How much is average / how much is "appropriate"?

Unless you blew 120+ and/or have caused injury I would seriously suggest you just use a duty solicitor.

In most (If not all) cases a ban in mandatory so the punishment is generally the same!
