Yes, perhaps they should play 'Don't worry, be happy.' Although some people might think they're taking the piss. And yes, I know it's not a Marley song, but it fits the bill.

I believe the DVLA have upgraded their automated telephone system recently as it seems to be a little bit more efficient than the chaotic line they had in 2020/21.

I am sure the DVLA previously used a classical piece of music when keeping you on hold. I always felt it was the type of music you would associate with a prestigious furniture store or a garden centre coffee shop.
