Convicted Driver Insurance

Hi again all,

just a quick one from me. During my incident I clashed with street furniture which was damaged in the crash. Was a bent guard rail near traffic lights.

This has since been replaced by the council, I assume.

am I likely to be asked to pay for this? Or will they go through my insurer?

Haven’t heard anything about the incident since it happened on October 3rd.

Thanks.

You may well get a bill to pay for the repair.
It depends on if the police had your insurance details and passed them on to the council for them to put a claim in.
Have you told your insurance company.
If the police did not have your insurance details at the time the council will write to you stating the claim, and asking you to pass it on to your insurers (unless you want to settle it yourself)

Thanks Price.

I didn’t claim on my insurance as I didn’t see the Benefit of this.

I have since cancelled my insurance as the car is now scrapped.

I’ll be happy to settle it myself if/when the time comes.
