Questioned when drunk

Hi,
Are the police meant to speak to you/question you in the morning once you’re more sober or is there no set rule? I had a bit of a mental breakdown and the police officer came to talk to me in my cell just after I was booked in. I was still in a mental health spiral and still drunk. That was the only time I was questioned.

It depends on a number of factors. If they need to rely on what you said and you can show you were intoxicated you may apply to have the evidence excluded.
