I understand new drink driving laws may be coming into force whereby people who are banned for 2 years or more have to resit their driving test. I got a 3 year ban 8 month ago. If these new laws came into effect would I have to resit my test or is it just the people who are convicted after the date the new laws come into effect?

Any such change in the law is unlikely to be retrospective. Only bans imposed after any change in the law is introduced are likely to be affected. I don't think you need to worry.
