Good afternoon Martin

Thank you for your time,

I pleaded guilty to driving whilst unfit on 20th of February 2020, I was due to go back for a newton hearing in march but that has been moved back due to corona until the end of September,

I have read online that the court can only issue a temporary ban for 6 months does that mean that because I have not been back for sentencing yet even though I'm currently on a temporary ban whilst awaiting sentencing that I will be able to drive again from 20/8/20 until my court date?

Don't want to risk it without a second opinion, i have also emailed my solicitor for an answer but he is currently on leave,

Hi.

Yes I belive from memory that the time limit is 6 months but you don't just get to start driving. You need to speak to Court and DVLA to confirm the position. Obviously your lawyer can help with that.

Thanks Martin, I'll contact the court and dvla as my solicitor is uncontactable for the next 10 days,
