Letter to judge

Hi, my boyfriend was arrested for DD at the weekend - he has previously been banned for driving offences (not DD) but his licence is currently clear. He was stopped outside his house and read 112 on the breathalyser. Would you be able to guess what his sentence wouldbe?

Also he works as a mechanic and his boss has offered to write a letter to the judge pleading leniency, do you think this will help? If so - what kind of thing shoukd he out in the letter? Does anyone have any examples??

Hi,

According to his reading and sentencing guidelines he is looking at community service and between 23 and 28 months driving ban. This is the least he will be facing. His driving record will be taken into account and it could affect the sentence given depending on how bad it is.

As for a letter to the judge, it is basically a character reference. He needs to try and show he is of good character and responsible. It may or may not help, but it can only help matters if anything.
