Most run of the mill insurance companies do not offer a temporary option, you would need to take a policy out and then cancel when you get your licence back and insure in your name. Ensure you go for an insurance company without an eye watering cancellation fee and that offer a refund for the time left from the payment. I would not mention that you plan on only having it temporary or planning to cancel as this will likely result in not being quoted.
There are many specialist temporary insurance companies that you can contact for a quote, all be it they are more expensive than traditional insurance.
