Convicted Driver Insurance

Hi
I’m looking for some advice as I can get an answer with a google search.
I was convicted of drink driving in October 2017.
However next year I am moving to the Republic of Ireland, this being outside of the UK do I still have to disclose the DR10 to car insurance companies over there?
I am aware that even while serving a ban in the UK there are some countriesyou can still travel to and drive in. Just wondered if it was a similar situation.

Any help is appreciated.

The Republic of Ireland recognise our bans under a mutual agreement so your conviction in England IS disclosable there.

there are no other countries that you can drive in whilst banned in the U.K.
Whilst you are not actually disqualified in countries that do not have mutual recognition of our bans, there is a requirement that you hold a valid licence in your home country, and you do not hold a valid licence if you are banned.
Of course you could take a driving test in another country and drive then, but most countries have residency requirements before you can do that, you cannot just turn up and apply.
