Homebrew alcohol

Well-known member
I was wondering if anyone does homebrew here?

I ask because ironically I probably drink less now, even though it is much cheaper. I make very drinkable red wine that comes out at about £1.60 a bottle.

In the past when entertaining I tended just to buy one bottle per person (hence the tipsy...) and of course once you have pencilled those bottles of wine you inevitably drink them all. At my wedding it was three bottles of prosecco and red wine and yeah... mostly went.

Leaving aside my appalling drinking habits - I used to work in hospitality and now work in an area of healthcare with heavy drinking cultures - I was wondering if not buying alcohol with the intention of drinking it all actually means you drink less?
