Foreign Licence Suspension

Hi

I am going to be relocating to the UK from Australia at the end of the year, and I was wondering whether an australian DUI conviction/disqualification of an australian licence would effect my eligibility for getting a UK licence if the suspension period hasn't expired?

I'm not sure if it affects it but I am a dual Aus/UK citizen.

Good morning,

Its not something I would usually advise upon but my understanding is that if you have a valid Australian licence then you could drive, but I think the opposite would apply in that if it isn't valid then you could not use it.

I think the best people to ask would be the DVLA.
