Expat to U.S. with a Canada DUI

New member

I’m in a bit of a dilemma. It's due to the sins of my past. I’m planning to move to the U.S. on work permit. But 8 months back I got a DUI. Will this affect my application for work permit in the U.S. ?

I asked about this issue to a lawyer in torontodefencelawyers and he told me it is not possible to enter the U.S. with a criminal record. DUI is considered a criminal record. He told me I could try after getting some forms approved. But I still doubt if I ever be able to work in U.S.
