True, it really did seem like the doctor's opinion of me might make some difference as its pretty clear when talking to me I'm not a useless layabout alcoholic and I think he saw that

Iv seen online that normal lft levels are
Alt 9-52
Ast 10-35
ggt 0-42
alp 30-120
They say it is measured in multiples with these levels
known as u.l.n think that stands for upper levels normal.
See this test is daft....
If someone is 50 year old drank everyday from the
age of 18 to 30 then went t-total for 20 year and his liver
was damaged would he fail??
Theres lots of unanswered questions.
The way i see it and i hope im right they are tryin to
sort out people like us weekend drinkers or normal people
that have a social life from the frosty jack drinkers who have
vodka for breakfast

Surely they shouldnt stop ppl from driving just because they
go out once a week or fortnight and consume over
the reccommended amount....
Isnt that just two or three pints....

My medical is in four days now.
Not had a drop of alchohol for just over 5 week now.
Was taking milk thistle although just one on the odd day
as i kept forgettin to take them lol.
Spent the first two week of not drinking having a glass of cranberry
juice every morning and an apple a day.
Had the odd vitamin tablet.
Past week iv drank bucket loads of tea.
Unsure if any of this truely helps but oh well...
Will post again after my medical with as much info as i can to help people in future

Had my medical today.
First part was questionairre.
Do you take drugs
have you ecer used misused alchohol
how much do you drink a week on average.... i pointed out i had not drunk for over 6-7 weeks then said just saturdays about five pints
when did you last drink n how much... i told them the truth about 7 cans of lager
on bonfire night...
Have you ever had a medical condition... blacked out or nissed
work cus of alchohol..


She checked blood pressure height weight
no urine test
took blood sample
she said i should pass as its ridicukously heavy drinkers they are after
il post again hopefully in next 5 week hopefully with good news
