DVLA - Delay in sending mail

Hi forum members, was hoping to get some feedback from people who may be in receipt of mail from DVLA. I'm currently in correspondence with a team at DVLA and have certain time restrictions on my actions for the time of issue of the letter but I'm consistently finding that letters take 7+ days to arrive at my address. Letters from DVLA are being sent 2nd class post so you shoud expect next or day after next delivery but the fact that letters are taking a week or week+ to be received woud call me to question whether there is a delay before posting. Would any of you good folks advise if you experience similar? Thanks.

They have an agreement with royal mail where their mail goes out over a two week period.

You can ask them to fax letters to you if you are in an urgent rush.
