driving on revoked license - insurance always invalid?

Hi, so a full 6 months after having my car towed they've finally got around to charging me for driving on a revoked license (H31). They've also charged me with driving without insurance (H33) despite still being a named driver at the time. I assume that since the license was invalid then the insurance was invalid too regardless? I just wanted to check before pleading, as it seems bizarre that they are two separate offenses when one leads to the other in all cases.

Yes quite often it's a condition of the insurance that you have a driving licence.

Okay thanks for confirming. I guess that's a minimum of 9 points and another huge fine.

for driving and no insurance there would be just one set of points, so between 6 and 8 would be expected.
