Hello,
I lost my driving licence (drink driving: 51microgrammes in 100 mililitres).
Never had any points etc.
Offence code RT88007 I got £369 penalty and 16 months ban.
Is it much, normal or low?

Over a month ago I sent my driving licence to DVLA, will they send me some sort od provisional (to use as an ID)? Will I be left without an ID ?

Will this have a huge impact on my car insurance in a future (eg like +200% or 300%)?
I am over 40 and have over 20 years no claims.

Regards,
Tom

Thank you Martin,
can I apply for early return of my licence or do I have any options I am not aware of?
Someone told me I could have had 12 months ban ( after some sort of test - 9 months to get my licence back),
Kind regards,
Tom

The judge gave me a maximum sentence within the guidelines, am I right?
Regarding other question - it means: what can I use as my ID with proof of my address on it (eg if I wanted to open a bank account online)?
What sort of ID can I use now?

Does it mean everyone who is sentenced for drink driving is left without an ID confirming his address for a year or longer?
