I blew 42 but I vomited before the test is it true they should of waited 20 mins before they done the test

It depends on how long before the test and which breath test device was used.
the Lion machine has a good mouth alcohol detector. The EC/IR is less so, and there should be a wait if there is a suggestion of regurgitation.
Have a look at the printout and it will tell you which device was used.
one more things are you talking about the roadside test or the large one at the police station?
