Hi, I have just been charged with drink driving blew 52 and charged with failing to stop at the scene of an accident. Possibly twoc too. First time I’ve ever been arrested and would like to know what punishment I’ll be looking at please?

Thanks

With a breath reading of 52µg per 100 millilitres of blood you will receiving a driving disqualification between 12 and 16 months as well as a fine. If you are also charged with taking a vehicle without consent, this is likely to aggravate the penalty and the Court may depart from the sentencing guidelines and impose a lengthier ban and a community order.
