Good Morning Honestman,

Hope your well and socially distanced bearing up during these strange times indeed.

Cause for simple celebration yesterday 7th May, as my license landed comfortably on my door mat with an accompanying letter. The accompanying letter didn't exactly congratulate me, but simply stated I was now deemed fit to drive after DVLA M1 form enquiries, (ie letter to my Doc), and my earlier standard DVLA medical on March 3rd. The M1 form was posted back to DVLA on 14th March.

One piece of information you may find useful is that the lower of acceptable CDT readings (ie green) is down to 1.6% as mentioned in my accompanying letter, fortunately my reading was 1.4%...….that's a close close shave.....perhaps a couple of pints of Stella.....who knows....?

Previously the lower levels were around 2.0 or 2.1%...I think......

Quick bullet point recap

Posted D1 app 26/01/20
Booked DVLA medical 03/03/20
Received DVLA M1 14/03/20 posted back same day....this form as you know allows DVLA to seek my GP opinion.
License lands on my door mat 07/05/20.

Total process time of 14/15 weeks...….obviously slower due Covid-19.

Signing off permanently as I venture forth and polish my Ferrari...….well Fiesta...

Yours
