hi, I was arrested on 9/9/22 at 10:25pm after I fled from my home as my husband assulted me. Would this count as a Special reason? Also how much does it usually cost to have a solicitor represent you in court. My date is 28 September

Yes it potentially could count but we would have to take a full set of instructions before we could be completely sure.

A guilty plea would be £950+vat and a full special reasons would be £2000+vat to cover both hearings.

Thanks for the reply, I don't understand about two hearings and would someone represent me in court for the £2k fee?

For a special reasons hearing it is like a mini trial. You need one hearing to explain to the Court what you wish to do and then a second to do it.

Yes, you would be represented at both hearings as part of that fee.
