blood sample results

was wondering if anyone could help me, i recently had a alcohol blood sample sent for analysis, and the results came back at 83 mg, i was told that the toxicologist subtracts 6 from the result, is this true??? i 'm due back at the police station in new year for my blood test results the police sent off, if it is true that the toxicologist subtracts 6 would the sample i sent off for analysis, would the toxicologist subtract any? or would it just be the police toxicologist!!!

I think I've read that the results come back with the 6mg or 6% already taken into account..... Sorry what was the breath reading?
