but will there not be information related to a vehicle that has been pulled over in the past that had someone convicted od driving under the influence? does that not mean that the camera is flawed in a way? or is it only for insurance, tax and mot, i have heard many different opinions about this, some people say it will flag up that the cars registered keeper was convicted of drink driving, some say it doesnt look for that information :/ so im veryconfused

Just because a car registered to a particular person is being driven on the road, that does not automatically mean that the driver is the registered keeper. There would require to be additional evidence to adduce whom was driving.
As noted previously, the purpose of the camera is to identify cars, not drivers.
