To Clarify* if you not classed as dependant or abuse there's never no need to abstain!
However all HRO live on the dvla tightrope from medical reports ie what your CDT results give/ what questions you answer then finally your GP report!
If your not already classed dependant or misuse the dvla will be fine with 14 units per week// NOT PER DAY but then it becomes stupid then Draconian each case judged on there merits!
You could have 4 funerals and 1 wedding that month (all well toasted)but nothing for 11 months! Do the maths they cannot hence why GP reports are soooo important
