I know I am jumping the gun with 16 months to go... but trying to find out early in case there is something I can plan for this case.
I know when I get my license back, getting a car on the road is going to be expensive, but at least it should be possible, even if it has to be with a specialist.
But what would happen with our camper van? I just renewed our van insurance (for wife only, obvs) and told them there is a criminal in the house, which didn't affect it. But whilst on, I asked them if they would insure me at the end of ban. They said - NO - they don't cover DR10 as drivers. Our van is (was) insured in both our names, me as named second driver. But I'm assuming they won't allow a DR10 second driver either. Does this mean that the only option would be for me to get specialist drink-driver Van insurance (presumably very expensive again with the DR10) and put her on as the second driver?
I know there are specialist drink-driver insurances. And the campervan is also with a specialist Caravan/Motorhome company.
I just hope there is a specialist Motorhome Insurer who also deals with DR10.
Aargh... it occurs the same will happen for my wife's car. I won't be able to drive that either as a named second driver.
This continues to get worse.
