21 month ban for drink driving

Hi.... I was convicted of drink driving in November and was given 21 months ban
And the chance to do a ddr course to reduce my ban length.
On the ban letters i got from the magistrates courts it states that once i have done the course they would reduce my ban by 21 months.
I am unsure if this is just a typo from the courts or do i just reapply for my licence bow i have completed the course

This is likely a typo. The ban would usually reduce by 21 weeks for a ban of 21 months. I would suggest contacting the court for clarification. The DVLA will very likely have a definitive date inputted in their system linked to when an application from you can be processed.
